THE SPACE: RECLAIMING THE MOTHER
Saturday 25th July & 5th September 2026
A two-part gathering at The Space
Littlehill, Bridport, Dorset
Something has been lost. And we are all feeling it.
The mother archetype is not about having children.
It lives in every one of us – the capacity to tend, to nourish, to hold with warmth and without condition.
Most of us have learned, slowly and quietly, to abandon that care when it comes to ourselves. We over-give. We make ourselves small. We dismiss what we need before anyone else has a chance to. This is not personal failure. It is cultural.
The mother as an archetype, as a value, as a way of being in the world has been abandoned at every level.
We are here to reclaim her.
Not as a role. As a living force. The part of you that knows how to receive as well as give. The kind of self-love that says:
I am worth tending. I matter beyond what I produce and who I look after
Two gatherings. One journey.
July and September are two days of the same exploration.
Come to one or both you will be fully met wherever you begin. July names the archetype. September takes it into the body and the water.
25TH JULY — The Mother Named
10am – 6.30pm
Optional overnight stay
Co-facilitated with Nehanda Truscott-Reid, whose work sits at the heart of conscious motherhood and the healing of women.
See detail of The Space on the homepage to get a feel as to how the day unfolds.
5TH SEPTEMBER— The Mother Reclaimed
10am – 8.30pm | Dinner included |
Overnight stay strongly encouraged
Ten women. Warm water rebirthing at the heart of the day. Conscious connected breath held by three trained facilitators. The day opens and closes together — circle, shared meal, fire and dinner to close.
This is deeper work. We would strongly encourage you to stay overnight if you possibly can. The water will meet you wherever you are.
The shape of the day
in September
-
Morning — A gentle arrival, together
Tea, coffee, time to land. An opening circle for all ten women to name what they are carrying. No rush. No agenda. The day begins as one.
-
The water work - in two groups of five
At the heart of the day, you will move into the warm water in a small group of five. Jax is in the pool throughout the day, joined by Kelly or Olivia so there are always two facilitators with you in the water. Conscious connected breath, tended presence, the body’s oldest memory of being held. Unhurried. Sacred. Nothing required of you except your willingness to arrive.
While one group is in the water, the other is held on land by the third facilitator; resting, moving gently, or simply existing at a slower pace. -
Midday — Real food, shared slowly
A nourishing meal cooked by Ruth, eaten together. Time to digest what the morning has opened.
-
Evening — Fire, dinner and the closing circle
All ten women gather again by the fire to celebrate and integrate the day. Space to speak or simply sit with what the day has brought.
Dinner is intentionally included in the price of the day. The nourishment and remembering that food is self-care in and of itself, is one reason, the other is more practical your nervous system needs to find a way to ground after a day like this.
We would prefer it if you stayed overnight but if you cannot, this is our way of keeping you safe.

Who holds this space
Alongside Jax Bull
Nehanda Truscott-Reid - July
Nehanda’s work sits at the intersection of conscious motherhood, ancestral healing and the sacred path of womanhood.
She brings depth, warmth and a profound understanding of what it means to honour the mother in ourselves and in our lineage. Co-facilitating July with Jax, she brings a voice and a presence that makes this gathering unlike any other.
Kelly Youren - September
Naturopathic nutritional therapist and rebirthing breathwork practitioner trained through the AIR School of Breathwork.
Kelly brings warm water rebirthing to this day with gentleness, presence and deep care — and leads the evening embodied practice and breathwork session for those who stay overnight.
Olivia Joya- September
Somatic therapist, rebirther and holistic practitioner with roots in Chinese Traditional Medicine, Bowen Therapy and meditation.
Olivia holds space with heart-centred steadiness and leads the morning art practice for overnight guests.
Is this for you?
This gathering is for you if you have been to The Space before and feel ready to go somewhere deeper.
It is for you if you have never attended, but something in you has been waiting for exactly this.
It is for you if you wish to explore the part of you that tends, holds, feeds and keeps the warmth going for everyone else – and you cannot remember the last time someone tended to you.
You do not need experience of breathwork. You do not need to know what will happen.
You need only come as you are.
Warm water rebirthing is gentle and safe. Our facilitators will be in touch before the day about anything you want to understand or share.
If you have any health considerations, please get in touch before booking: nina@theserenitypractice.com
A note on belonging
As with every Space gathering, two places are held specifically for women from Black, Brown and other marginalised communities. Belonging is easier when you can see yourself reflected in the room. This is a structural commitment, not a gesture.
